José Aguas (Player 1950-1964)
Jose Aguas Forward - Born in the Portugese colony of Angola, José Pinto de Carvalho Santos Águas was an important member of the great Benfica team that won the European cup twice in the early 1960's. Aguas crucially scored his team's first goal in both finals. He spent the last year of his carreer playing for Austria Vienna.

Florian Albert (Player 1958-1974)
Florian Albert Forward - Florian Albert was arguably the best Hungarian forward of the post-1956 era. He collected a host of silverware with Ferencváros, including the 1965 Fairs Cup, and won bronze with Hungary at the 1960 Olympics. The skilled and elegant Albert was voted European Footballer of the Year in 1967

John Aldridge (Player 1979-1998)
John Aldridge Forward - John Aldridge helped Liverpool, the team he had supported as a young boy, win the English league in 1988 and the FA Cup in 1989. A descendent of Irish immigrants, Aldridge won caps for Ireland at Euro 1988, including the famous 1-0 victory over England, and at the World Cup in 1990 and 1994.

Ivor Allchurch (Player 1947-1968)
Ivor Allchurch Forward - One of the best ever Welsh footballers, Ivor Allchurch helped Wales reach the quarter finals of the World Cup in 1958. The gifted inside-forward was known for his pinpoint passing and ability to score goals from distance. Quiet and unassuming, Allchurch spent most of his career with his home town club.

José Andrade (Player 1920-1937)
Jose Andrade Forward - José Andrade was the pacey wing forward of the Uruguayan national team that was victorious in the inaugaral World Cup in 1930. Nicknamed 'the black pearl', he was one of the first black footballers regognised as a world class player. Andrade also won three Copa America's and two Olympics.

Ossie Ardiles (Player 1973-1990)
Ossie Ardiles Midfielder - Osvaldo Ardiles joined Tottenham Hotspur after he won the 1978 World Cup. The jinking midfielder helped Spurs win the FA Cup in 1981, but missed the 1982 final after fleeing England due to the Falklands War. Upon his return to White Hart Lane, Ardiles helped Spurs capture the 1984 UEFA Cup.
