Rinus Israel (Player 1962-1982)
Defender - Rinus Israel was captain of the Feyenoord team that became the first Dutch side to win the European Cup when they beat Celtic 2-1 in the 1970 final, with the ruthless and intelligent centre halve scoring one of the goals and providing the assist for the other. Forward - Valentin Kozmich Ivanov was one of the outstanding players in the Soviet national team that won the Olympics in 1956 and the inaugural European Championship in 1960. Midfielder - As gifted as he was hard-working, Wim Jansen won the European Cup with Feyenoord in 1970, and the UEFA Cup in 1974. Goalkeeper - In 1980, at the age of 35 and with 88 caps to his name, Pat Jennings' international career appeared to be over. But Northern-Ireland manager Billy Bingham decided he could not do without the veteran goalie just yet.
