Lev Yashin (Player 1950-1970)
Lev Yashin Goalkeeper -  In 1963 Lev Yashin became the first, and to date only, goalie to be voted European Footballer of the Year. Widely recognised as the best goalie ever, he won the 1956 Olympics and the 1960 European Championship with the Soviet Union as well as 5 league titles and 3 cups with Dynamo Moscow.

Hector Yazalde (Player 1966-1981)
Hector Yazalde Forward - The 46 goals Héctor Yazalde scored for Sporting Lisbon during the 1973-1974 season stands as the highest total ever produced by a winner of the European Golden Boot. It earned him a place in the Argentinean squad for the 1974 World Cup, where he played three matches and scored two goals.

Mario Zagallo (Player 1948-1965)
Mario Zagallo Forward - M&https://web.archive.org;rio Zagallo was heavily involved in all of Brazil's first three World Cup victories. Having won the trophy as a player in 1958 and 1962, the nimble outside-left nicknamed El Lobo (the Wolf) became the first World Cup winning player to go on to also capture the trophy as a coach in 1970.

Zinedine Zidane (Player 1987-2006)
Zinedine Zidane Midfielder - Zinedine Zidane led France to victory in the World Cup in 1998 and the European Championship in 2000. He was a superb passer of the ball but could produce goals as well. Zidane was named European Footballer of the Year in 1998, and FIFA World Footballer of the Year in 1998, 2000, and 2003.

Zito (Player 1951-1967)
zito Midfielder - José Eli de Miranda won the World Cup with Brazil in 1958 and 1962, when he scored the decider in the final against Czechoslovakia. Zito played his club football with the legendary Santos team that dominated Brazilian football in the late 1950's and early 1960's and won the Intercontinental Cup twice.
